Afternoon everyone…..
I wrote yesterday that I received a package in the mail yesterday. Well this box contained several pieces. So over the course of this week, I will be sharing them with you all.
Today’s installment from the package is the sixth round in the medieval legends series from Provident Metals/JM Bullion. While I’m not a big fan of either dealer any longer, this is an exclusive to them. The round is “The Holy Grail”. No not the Monty Python movie…..
Here is the write up from the JM Bullion site.
The Medieval period, also known as the Middle Ages, is a period of European history that lasted from the 5th century to the 15th century. It is characterized by the collapse of the Roman Empire, the rise of Christianity, and the development of feudalism.
A dominant object from this era, the Holy Grail is a legendary object with many different interpretations and depictions throughout history. It is commonly associated with the cup used by Jesus Christ at the Last Supper, and the cup that caught his blood during his crucifixion.
For the obverse design of the 1 oz Holy Grail Silver Round, you will find an armored Medieval knight standing guard in the background with a humble chalice in the foreground on a small pedestal. The knight bears a shield with a rampant lion, while the wall behind him is built of skulls. In the foreground, the Holy Grail stands out even in its simplicity.
In the reverse design of the Medieval Legends Holy Grail Silver Round, the common design for the series is featured. Here, a table setting in a Medieval castle gives clues as to all the figures to feature in the Medieval Legends Series. As it pertains to this release, you will notice the Holy Grail resting near a candle and apple.
Now for the round….
And as always @summertooth had to include some copper. PS- @summertooth is really a copper stacker not a silver stacker…..
