Afternoon everyone….
It’s been a little bit since I did an update on the shop build.
The wood for the build was delivered on Monday afternoon. They started framing on Tuesday morning. The weather has been beautiful all week up until today. Today is going to be 96 degrees out with a real feel of over 102. Not only that but it’s muggy as hell, and they are saying pop up thunder showers possibly during the day and definitely in late afternoon. So they decided not to work here today.
I don’t blame them……
Just taking photos this morning, I was sweating out there.
Here is a day by day progress of the build. The first day (Tuesday) they got about three quarters of the walls up and squared.
The second day they finished framing the building and put the roof joists in place as well.
The yesterday (Thursday) they got most of the plywood sheathing up around the building. There are a few pieces missing from the very front. But it’s roughly 90% done.
My contractor Phil said the vinyl siding was being delivered sometime today. He also said that they would be calling for the framing inspection by Wednesday of next week. Which means the building will be completely enclosed by Wednesday.
There is still a lot of work to be done, but they seem to be making pretty good progress daily.
I’ll try to keep you updated as thing progress.

I bet you already have the woodworking machines lined up and ready to install as soon as the electrical is in and inspected.
I actually don’t have many. Can’t fit them into the basement. My only two big machines are my table saw and dust collector. All the rest I’ll have to buy at some point. But I’m broke so it’s gonna take a while.
