Things just are really crazy in my life right now….
With the passing of my uncle on Tuesday morning, things got extremely complicated. While we had found out he was in rough shape, from the little information my mom could get from the hospital. The severity of it was not known until after he passed away.

While my mother is his sister, the hospital would not disclose much information about my uncle over the phone. She had just been diagnosed with bronchitis, so she wasn’t able see him in the hospital. They wouldn’t even release him to my mother, even if she wasn’t sick from what she told me. His emergency contact was his estranged son.
By the way the hospital didn’t even reach out to him until Monday. He flew in Monday afternoon to pick him up, he was being released upon his wishes per the hospital. My uncle didn’t have money and this whole funeral thing has become a big shit show. His son has no clue, says he can’t afford it, can’t find any paperwork in my uncles apartment.
He served in the Army for eight years as an Army Ranger. He was eligible for VA benefits. So I did the research, got his VA number and gave this all to his son. He’s fumbling even with this help. He can’t pay the funeral home he claims, and without a death certificate in hand he can’t try an gain access to his bank account or anything else. Catch22
All of this is making my mom upset even more and making my life miserable when I get done working my twelve hour days. I took two days off to help but I have jobs with deadlines, so I’m unable to do anything else during the day which is when everything is open.
This week also happens to be my girlfriends sons birthday as well as my girlfriends moms birthday. So two of my nights are full as well.
Then we have the craziness of the precious metals market. Yesterday silver broke through the $50 mark with ease. But it was very short lived. A “Smackdown” commenced shortly afterwards knocking it all the way down to $49.06 at closing. Gold took a bigger beating being knocked under the $4,000 mark.
I was tracking it late last night and silver was up over the $51 mark. It took another smackdown once the US market opened. But as of this post writing silver has just climbed back over the $50. So let’s see where it closes for the week.

Sorry to hear about that mess. Funerals are very expensive, hopefully the VA will be able to kick in some benefits. I'm sure they'll want to do the full military funeral with taps and the twenty-one gun salute. After all those years as a ranger he deserves no less.
I do hope you can help them get thing sorted out around your deadlines. Projects still have to be done on time unfortunately.
We'll see how these prices end up come Monday, it should be an interesting weekend that much is for sure!
