Took mom for a much needed day out….

Yesterday was the one year anniversary of my dad passing away. I did everything that I could to keep her occupied. But I could tell she was holding it in.

So today I decided to take mom on a little ride to the casino in Pennsylvania. So we went and spent the day at Mount Airy Casino in the Poconos.

My mom loved going on the bus rides with the ladies. But since COVID, there haven’t been any bus trips. She’s been mentioning it for months now. What better way to take her mind off of things then a little fun.

Mom enjoys the slot machines. No big spender she plays the penny slots. But she enjoys it and she got to play for hours.

We had lunch at Guy Fieri’s place. Then she played again for a few more hours.

I played a little blackjack, was down to my last $40. But, made a stellar comeback to break even for the day. Which was technically being up since I paid for lunch and left with exactly what I went there with.

Here is a couple of shots of the slot machines.

I remember you talking about Your Father a few years ago. Your Mother is proud of You. And your Father is proud of his Family. My condolences.

Thank you my friend. It’s not easy when you’ve been with someone over 60 years. I believe so, thank you for the kind words. Much appreciated

I'm planning a dinner out with my Mom this weekend and make sure this time that she won't forget her dentures.
