Afternoon everyone ….
You have now seen a barrage of items from my latest box of tricks. From graded coins, to vintage rounds an even a beautiful bar yesterday.
Well today….
I am featuring a vintage world coin for all of you. I acquired this and several other vintage world coins in a trade with a friend a few years back.
This 1888 Lima, Peru Un Sol is one of the coins that was part of the trade. The coin is in very nice shape, I’d put it at very high AU minimum. It might even be a low mint state possibly an MS62 or 63. I know that @silversaver888 will approve of this coin…
I’m considering getting this coin graded. I have a pile building of things I’d like to get graded. This might be one of them.
Enough already, show us the coin….

I would say get it graded, it's a beauty. Those are hard to find in that nice of condition, I would say an MS 62 is a real possibility on that one. That's what sucks about getting thins graded, you never really know until comes back. I've had several coins under graded by PCGS is the past...

I’m most likely going to. I’ve sent in a ton of coins in my day. Been pretty dam close on all but one. I had a coin come back as cleaned, after it came back I brought it to a show. Not one dealer said it was cleaned. But I sold it anyway at that show.
I had one like that too at one point. PCGS claimed it was cleaned but took it to multiple dealers after that and they said there was no way it was cleaned. I think that was the point I stopped sending many coins off for grading and just bought graded! lol
Wow, a 1888!!!
It looks like it can be graded MS63... do you intend to send it for grading, @siverd510?
I have one, nowhere close to what you have !LOL

A beauty @silverd510

I was tempted by my Hong Kong connection for this counterstamped 1888 Peruvian Sol but I just couldn't cough up the cash. $$$
