I miss the silver. The many coins of silver in the pockets of our parents and grandparents has been looted from us. There should have been riots in the streets when precious metal was pulled from circulation. Well, maybe not "should have been riots", I don't advocate riots, but perhaps a NOTABLE historical (mostly) peaceful protest of some sort. !BBH

Very well, stated my friend, I 100% agree!๐Ÿ‘
If you read the constitution, we are only supposed to make coinage out of gold and silver. How did they get around that?๐Ÿ™„

Article I, Section 10, Clause 1 says โ€œNo State shall... make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts...โ€ since the "United States of America" is not a single STATE, but a union of States, it is said that it doesn't apply. And they also claim this doesn't apply, since they are not making "coin" but paper "notes".

If you see "goldbacks", they look like dollars, they are literally gold "coin" produced for various States. True constitutional money that cannot be made illegal because of it's clear adherence to the above clause in the constitution.

So very interesting they found a loophole or so they believeโ€ฆ..๐Ÿ™„
