Greetings Dear Tammy,

Tea is served....with biscuits of course...

Hope ye are well.

Happy New Year!

Lovely to hear from ye...

A query for you if you do not mind....Are you still working with wool?....if you have seen Bleujay's latest post...you may see that I am working with embroidery threads of all kinds...am seeing wool yarns being used as well in a couple of books. If you do not mind me inquiring...Is that what you produce or is it something different?

Kindest Regards,

L. Bleujay

Your work is beautiful, as I knew it would be! I believe the crewel embroidery is typically done with wool threads. That being said there are many types of embroidery, with silk and metal threads being the ones more familiar to me.

My production is more closely aligned with knitting wool, a softer and more springy yarn...and weaving wool, a firmer and more dense wool.

I've never tried to produce embroidery wool, though I know it can be done. There is a lady that spins fine sewing thread 😳...I don't think I have the patience for that 😅.

Is that a fine wool base you are working on? I would love to see your finished work...I hope you post it!

What a lovely reply....thank you so much.

Oh...I see...I do wish I could knit...There are a couple of places I am becoming familiar with for this new endeavour and they do carry so many beautiful yarns for knitting....tempting. ^__^

Yes...It is a 100% wool felt from Germany...It is quite easy to work with and a good weight....and since I am not a seamstress...it works for me. I am hoping to frame the artwork afterward....no sewing required...here's hoping.

If you can believe it...I have so many ideas percolating...and so many projects started...at least four....that I have to concentrate now on one in order to finish it. Indeed...I am hoping to post about the artistic journey when I finish the Flower you saw in the post...

Thank you for your encouraging reply.

Cheers!

Oh ho, by no means am I an accomplished knitter, far from it, in fact. I love to spin, and by definition yarn isn't a finished product. It is merely a supply necessary to create a finished project, much of which is really quite artistic. But I can knit hats and socks LOL

That artwork will surely be deserving of a special frame. Oh, you have WIPS too?? WIPSs are works in progress, and I am not happy if I don't have several. You know how it is?....some days you just want to paint instead of stitch and vice versa!

I look forward to seeing your finished flower. I love the center 😍

And a hot coffee with lots of milk for me. A hug for you two wonderful women. It doesn't matter that it's virtual, but that's what I'd like to do right now: Hug you both.

Hot drinks and hugs all around 😃
