Hi Friends 👋
A few days ago I went past my former fave LCS to have a looky-loo and pick up a few capsules (for an upcoming event…) While I was there I learned that tho they still have Canadian “junk” available — there was NO MORE US Constitutional available. Available, that is, to be bought by face-dollar value. Now if you wanted a graded piece, and were willing to pay a collectors price then there was stock available. But my point is: there is no more bulk. Even rubbed-out, faded old half’s have begun to command premiums as can be witnessed by the total lack of supply.
Now it’s true that I live in Canada, and so obviously there is less Ag Americana up here than down south, but there used to be more. A lot more. And this is understandable because so many of the US Constitutional coins are gorgeous. At any rate, I guess what I’m saying is don’t overlook these gems — they’re literally not making them anymore; and like a fine whiskey or an old Ferrari, primos are going up. If you can still get your hands on some that might grade out above “good” for a reasonable price then snap them up. Once upon a time you could look through bins and pick out the ones you wanted — but not anymore.
So imagine my delight when I decided to take a peek inside a tube I found while I was looking for something else. There was a barber and a few Franklins in there as well, but perhaps I’ll show them another time.
Here is a bunch of one of my all time favourites — right up there with Cad $1, Merc dimes and original 80’s Libertads.
The Walker! (And a few Kennedy halfs for good measure 🤩👍👍)

Hunt it down and snap it up!
Cheers! from @thedamus

You have created a Precious Gem!
BEAUTIFUL Walker, @thedamus !
You seldom see that quality here.
Yeah, snap it up quickly!!!
CHEERS 🍻
All the easy fruit has been picked!
Great heads up for the Americanos.
This has been a Public Service Announcement.
Heya buggs, what’s it like in Australia — any old silver coins still avail for a bargoon?
No, it sucks here. Never seen anything like an LCS over here. Pawn shops don't carry bullion and the big stores (2+ hours drive away) are only interested in selling the new stuff.
We don't have the history over here and our population is largely oblivious to the precious metals.
Fak!!!
"If" I'm correct about what's heading our way, and the Special Offers the U.S. Treasury will be making, you'll be able to turn each one of those U.S. Half Dollars in for a New 1/2 ounce $5 Silver Coin, that will have the "Spending Power" of 500 of today's Fiat USD's...
Perhaps… Or, walkers start selling for $500!
Hell, I’d bet MS 69 and up is around that price already (@silverd510 — yo, what’s a MS 69 or 70 sell for?)
Just keep in mind that our 90% Silver Coins (in any condition) will do 10 Times better than our Common U.S. Coinage does...
I love half dollars, they stack so nicely. 👊🏻🍺😎
Beautiful pieces to have and to hold amigo 👊
The only thing I can buy is 1976 olympic coins, and I usually... thank Christmas... can snag our glorious 80% and 50% dollars. Which is what I'm usually going after.
Love the $1 Cad shiny too 👍
Well its hard to get US junk especially here in Canada, I think junk silver in general is on the rise
Less and less available makes them all collectors’ pieces 📈
Arrr, a fine day's plunder!☠️
Keep yer barnacles peeled for any old US coinage — primos are flying up!
Tell me about it. The local Coin show dealers are buying and not selling.
Avast! It’s high time for a short trip to Bellingham — trying to get down there now for years!!! 🤦♂️🤦♂️😹
