Went back and read your original article. Elon Musk saying something like that about the chance of us living in a simulation is kind of mind boggling. The thing is, A.I. is for sure coming to some extent in our lives. I don't think it will be a thing of how much we "let it" control, since there are always going to be different companies working on it at all times without constraints I guess. Time will tell though.
