This is a black hole I rarely jump into anymore...if by electing an official who is on a daily basis signing anti-environmental laws, actively profiting off his position, flouting the rule of law by ignoring the point of his position, wrecking health-care, promoting division, and destroying democracy as we know it all while acting like an illiterate Buffon...then, I guess, the crime is Americans being dumb and he is our punishment.

Ah, so US politics is similar to the UK and most of Europe. I guess politics is a breeding ground for corruption and hypocrisy, as always.
