The Rusian-Serbian rep-core band Straightjackin was founded in 1994 by Jugoslav Petrović during his stay in St. Petersburg. The first single "Sin of the Mafia" was released in the same year, and in the middle of 1996 they recorded their first album.
After returning to Serbia, they publish the album "The entry opens more often" (1996), featuring songs "Son of the mafia", "Little fortune" and "Jarastafaraj". During 1998, the band recorded the second album "Jahrastaffaraj" for City Records. The sound on the album is influenced by the reggae, the relationship of the sound that Jugoslav played with the Russian band set. The album is experiencing great commercial success, and songs from it are rolled over radio stations throughout Serbia. The special treat on the album is the hilarious treatment of the then hit Mitar Miric "I do not live here" in the ska / core version, called "Tarmi Ricmi".
