I guess that they figure that while there is an infection, there is no reason to have the pain at all. When I had it, I was given a morphine drip that i could self administer. I self-administered as often as it would allow me - I miss it. :D
Hopefully they can find a slot and do the surgery you need and even though you will still have to watch your diet after, it is probably better than death.
Bruh why me no get no morphine? Now I'm jealous.
