Steampunk Charms and Key Ring of Game of Thrones in Flexible Mass

in #slothicorn6 years ago (edited)

Hi guys, this time I'm going to show you a tutorial of a charm and a keychain from the television series Game of Thrones, which consists of 4 main houses (Stark, Targaryen, Baratheon and Lannister); in this case I will show how to make the Logo of the Stark house, without further limiting let's start.

Materials

  • Base Black Circular Putty Das
  • Flexible Mass
  • White Stick
  • White Sheet of Low Grammage
  • Stilettos
  • X-act
  • Acrylic Paint (Aged and Blanck)
  • Metallized Paint (Gold, Silver y Copper)
  • Hand Cream
  • Baby Oil or Glycerin
  • Eyepins and Jump ring Connectors
  • Brushes

Step 1

Have the figure to make in this case the logo of the Stark house, take into account that this mass reduces its size to dry which is recommended to make the pieces 5 to 3 millimeters larger than the desired size. Once finished the guides proceed to model the flexible mass so that its work is easy and extend the mass on the surface with a roller until having a thickness between 2 to 3 millimeters.

Step 2

Place the previously greased sheet with Baby Oil to prevent the dough from sticking to the paper, Gently swipe the finger to transfer the design to the flexible dough and lift, do the same with the Keychain. (Tip: remember that the image must be well marked with graphite for easy transfer).

Step 3

Take the X-act and the leaf very carefully we anoint it with oil, this will prevent the dough from sinking to the blade, facilitating the cutting; begin making small cuts throughout the silhouette of the wolf with great care, if you feel that the mass is still too soft, let it dry for a minute and continue with the cut.

Step 4

Once the pieces are cut we proceed with the details of the pieces so that they have relief, for this use a fine round-tipped stiletto for the Keychain, while for the Charms use the X-acto because the piece is small (approximately 2 x 2 cm).

Step 5

Once the pieces have the respective details, apply a layer of Black Acrylic Paint with a fine brush, trying not to leave blank spaces and let them dry, then apply both aging pieces with copper finish to all the pieces, let dry while Charms we will put details of the Steampunk Style.

Step 6

We apply Metallized Paint using the dry brush technique to both pieces taking great care not to cover the black channels with the paint until an aged finish is achieved.

Final Score :3
