Resources the humanity use are limited. If one day the oil will drain, mankind will be left not only without petrol. We could also forget about the plastic, asphalt or even lip balms (contain paraffin). This is why it is worth to support projects who promote a smart use of resources. Meet the Smart City initiative who allows controlling the electricity usage.

With the smart data collecting and AI, the Smart City Test Net can gather the information about all plugged electronic devices and check the amount of energy they use. Thanks to the app the Smart City creates, these data will be presented in a user-friendly way on the mobile or a computer. The singular sensor data collected from one household will be analysed together with another smart home, to create a global (in a city scale) energy usage platform. More homes connected gives a better understanding of an energy user behaviour.

The SCCTN token, native for this project will be used as a reward to users for sharing their electric data. It can be also used as a payment tool on https://www.smartcityshop.net, an internet shop with Smart City devices for smart houses. On the website, you can buy all the needed sensors, solar batteries, batteries for solar energy and etc. to make your home really smart. For example, this is the list of items in a starter kit offered on the website.

* sensor for total consumption + 3 ct clamps
* sensor for car charger + 3 ct clamps
* sensor for battery + 3 ct clamps
*    sensors for outside temperature
*    sensor for inside temperature
* sensor for the washing machine
*    sensor for the fridge
*    sensor and actuators
*    sensor and actuator
*    sensor and actuator

All together costs 50.000 SCCTN or 499 euro. Which is a pretty high price – maybe because the company headquarter placed in Switzerland, where everything is expensive. Nevertheless, it makes sense to follow the token price and gain some during the drop for future shopping. Of course, if the prices of euro and tokens are not linked.
Another offer from the internet shop: a Solar Panel Kit is worth 699 euro or 70 000 SCCTN tokens and consists of:

*    A 260W polycrystalline solar panel,
*    A 250W MPPT micro inverter,
*    aluminium “A” mounting kit,
* Set of cables and connectors.

Besides, the Smart City Test Net promises to reward the app users for sharing the tips about the smart energy usage and presenting tutorials on how to use the Smart City products properly.

What an awesome project. It is just a pity that the smart sets they are offering are so expensive. I guess it is possible to save 50% if order them directly from China.
