One of the things that drew me to the SmartCash idea was the fact that it was so community oriented. About 70% of the block rewards is dedicated towards funding the community trust. This community treasury called the SmartHive is set up to help fund proposals made by anyone in the community. It gives each of us the opportunity to pitch our project to the community.

Each smartcash represents one vote which means any SmartCash holder has the ability to vote on how the proposals go forward. There are usually many proposals that are waiting for votes here https://vote.smartcash.cc/Proposal, but if you want to make your own, it will only cost you 100 SmartCash.
We currently have as of January 29, 2018, Σ683,987,597.15 SmartCash or about 380 million dollars at it's current market price. These funds were used to do many wonderful things for the community like distributing food across Venezuela, funding the development, and marketing the coin. I love that we can help out the world at the same time as giving us power and a say in how this cryptocurrency develops.
