A few thousand #people have concentrated so much wealth that they now effectively own and/or control the planet through wealth they've gained from owning centralized authorities with bribes and war. Often, these bribes are called campaign contributions
I think the majority of government and #corporations can be replaced with code to make sure workers have at least more control over their workplace so that then eventually workers will get all or majority of the value of their labor instead of a small few who claim to own and manage the means of production, yet don't actually labor over the products.

These #management systems have bottlenecks that are controlled by a centralized authority but could be decentralized and replaced with #smartcontracts. This would put the control directly into the hands of workers and customers/clients etc., remove administrative redundancy and "fat," all while being more secure. This is a no-brainer.
Of course, we will not be able to achieve this easily because politicians that are owned by our oligarchs, plutocrats.. however you describe them, will not surrender that #power and dissolve their own control.
