Hi! Thanks for asking! I think I started feeling like I was wasting my time. I read some of the posts of people who know way more than I do about Steemit. Apparently, they want a lot of writing on each post. Personally, I don't always want to read a whole lot of writing when I look at photos that I like. More importantly, I don't have a whole lot to say and I don't believe if I did, I would say it very well.
How are you? Our third grandbaby (a girl!) is nine days over-due! I am taking care of the other two while mom and baby are gone. Hope all is well with you.
Well welcome back! It certainly is a long-game for most of us. The high rollers that have lots of money to drop can make $$ more quickly.
A couple things I found very useful for getting "real" votes are joining discord chat groups, and special interest like the drone and myhuntingfishing where similar minded folks are more likely to see your post.
I also caved and have done a little on voting/resteem folks/bots to see how they work. Some are hit and miss, some scams out there, but some of the valid ones do seem to help get more visibility, increase reputation and more importantly followers to see your other good posts... Mine has gone up a lot in the last few months after being really slow for several months.
Another is just figuring out how it works, votes don't really count for anything once past the 7 day payout period. In fact, I heard rumor they can pull down from the overall pool of available...

I spent a little time on Discord - not too much. Our baby was born last Saturday ((she's beautiful!) Thank you for the tips. I knew about the 7 days and think it should be a lot longer!
