According to a local publication, LG Mobile is allegedly coming out of the Chinese smartphone market. This news has come after the LG's 2017 economic data has been released. However, the LG Electronics stores the overall record. In the fourth quarter the mobile division has lost 192 million rupees. The reason for this loss is a great competition from other brands in China.

For South Korean company LG it is very difficult to compete with local brands in China's local market. In 2016, LG sold 480 million devices, but 160,000 units were sold in China throughout the year. A major reason for lower sales of LG devices in China is not launching G6 and V 30 smartphones in China.
