Is it also possible that the subcommunity feature (coming on Steemit in 2018, I guess) will make an interface for Art useless. I don't know.
I'd suggest thinking about this differently: By building a community now, you will be in the best possible position to capitalize on community/SMT features as they launch.
This sounds like a great idea. If you are able to get a steem-powered art site launched, I will absolutely try to sign up local Raleigh visual artists for it. The Raleigh Steem Project launches soon, so there could be synergy there.
Perhaps a path forward looks like this:
(1) Do a rough estimate of what this project will cost (development + first 12 months of server costs)
(2) Announce official project w/ the info from #1, seek donations/sponsors + upvotes.
(3) Build the thing!
thx Matt, that's undoubtedly a good roadmap. I'll check Raleigh project - which I don't know. And surely the first thing I'm going to do - with some technical valutations - is to write down a plan for developing the whole thing. There are already many good feedbacks about that from the Art community on Steem, so I think support shouldn't be missing.
I hope the sndbox team will assist me on this road.
They definitely will, this is what sndbox is all about!
And btw - Raleigh Steem Project is my project, and there isn't any real info on it yet - stay tuned for a few weeks and the announcement will be up. I'll shoot you a link when that happens if i remember
oh, ok! thx! :)
