Hello Steemians, this is my 1st time participating in @sndbox competition in designing their thumbnail post. Together with provided color palette and mixing with my idea, the entire design process is totally done in Photoshop.
The story
Ever since I was expose to constellation in my primary school, I started fascinated by space elements. From star, solar system to galaxy, I am amazed how tiny we are and the endless possibility of human space exploration. As for constellation, there are names and story, but the most prominent usage of constellation is a navigation tools for ocean travelers. Before human invent compass, we use star and constellation pattern to navigate the vast ocean to deliver food, goods and transport people who may be a friend or family. It pegs on the sky as it was a compass for all (free to use). Therefore, this thumbnail is to remind us that we came a long way to today advancement of technology and quality living.
Design Process
- The design was draw in photshop cs 5, and begin with dark background to represent night sky, and constellation star were arrange according the sentence “State of the sndbox”
- Star arrangement for the @sndbox logo
- Drawing line for the ground
- Color scheme according to color palette by @sndbox to fill in to all objects.
In conclusion, I would like to thanks @sndbox for giving me the opportunity to participate in this competition. If you guys would like to explore your creativity and imagination, you could participate in this competition.
