Introduction

Steemit has redefined social media by building a living, breathing, and growing social economy - a community where users are rewarded for sharing their voice. It's a new kind of attention economy.

Steemit.com is one of the many websites (including Busy.org, DTube, and Utopian.io) that are powered by the Steem blockchain and STEEM cryptocurrency. All of these websites read and write content to the Steem blockchain, which stores the content in an immutable blockchain ledger, and rewards users for their contributions with digital tokens called STEEM.

Every day, the Steem blockchain mints new STEEM tokens and adds them to a community's "rewards pool". These tokens are then awarded to users for their contributions, based on the votes that their content receives. Users who hold more tokens in their account as "Steem Power" will get to decide where a larger portion of the rewards pool is distributed.

While most social media sites extract this value for the benefit of their shareholders, Steemit believes that the users of the platform should receive the benefits and rewards for their attention and the contributions they make to the platform.

A social community is a territorial group that maintains the relationships of its members by using the same suggestions to achieve common goals. Community is a social group that has its own characteristics in terms of togetherness. Community is part of society, but different from collectivity or crowd.

In Indonesia, especially Aceh province which is divided to 23 districts of the city has formed steemit communities that vary based on their respective regions that have the same goal to jointly develop and achieve goals in the work.

It is the 3 communities above that exist in Aceh not including 20 districts / cities in Aceh. The number of steemit communities that formed due to many dreams of those who realized based on the work produced.

Conclusion

Steemit will not grow as fast as it is now without strong communities complementing and helping each other among the community. Steemit community is formed because of the common perception and the purpose to go forward and develop together.

The strength of a community depends on the solidarity and cohesiveness among members in developing the potential and talent in the good work of writing, photography, painting, sound art, and other works.

Seeing the phenomenon and the impact of steemit platforms on the community makes steemit last longer due to the benefits of both parties gained through the growing steemit community and the ever-increasing steemit platform of its members every day.
