This La Liga (LL) fixture sees 15th-placed Leganes (W11, D7, L17) and 17th-placed Levante (W9, D13, L13) meet in an almost meaningless game as they are both already assured of top-flight football next season.
Both teams have barely managed to escape relegation following their relatively unimpressive respective campaigns which has produced 40pts apiece, and sees them both 11pts clear of the bottom three ahead of this round.
Nevertheless, Levante coach Paco López has led an incredible revival in form lately, losing just once in their last nine games in LL (W6, D2, L1) while also winning their last three on the trot.
On the contrary, their opponents are stuttering, recording just a solitary win in their last six league outings and are winless in their last three (L2, D1). The only positive is that ‘Los Legionarios’ (LEG) are playing at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque where they have suffered just one defeat in their last six home league games.
In fact, the hosts have recorded just four losses in their last 15 home games across all competitions, while Levante have managed just two victories in their last ten away games in the league (D2, L6).
Their only previous meeting in LL, which was the reverse fixture in December, ended goalless. With the two sides having seen under 2.5 goals scored in their last three meetings in all competitions to produce another low scoring result.
Players to Watch: Leganes midfielder Javier Eraso has scored four goals and notched three assists this term. He is yet to find the net in his last six games, however.
José Luis Morales (LEV) has scored eight goals, including two in his last two games and laid on another six for Levante this season - all from midfield!
Stat attack: There have been under 2.5 goals scored in five of Leganes's last six home games in LL.
Levante have kept a clean sheet in their last five matches against Leganes in all competitions.
