Valuing people

Talking a little bit about what I find sad in this day and age, and how I think Hive could improve if more people eventually found out about us and gave us a try.

I'd appreciate it if you copied your hive comment over on youtube as well to potentially help me get to my revenue threshold goals these pesky web2 platforms enforce. Thanks.

I'm watching your video, and with the help of a translator, I think I've understood some of what you're saying, and I identify with your feelings.

I find it incredible that a platform like Hive still isn't valued as it truly deserves. If most people could understand how great this ecosystem is, they would realize that, unlike traditional social media, our time and effort are actually valued here. I understand what you're trying to express, and I've often wondered the same thing.

I know we can't sell Hive as a gold mine because we tend to mislead people and make them believe they can come here and make money. I always try to tell those I bring to Hive, or those who ask me about it, that to be a content creator on Hive, you have to enjoy interacting, be consistent, and have the patience to grow and take things slowly. But if they give it a try, it would be a wonderful experience.

Regarding your point about inflation: offering a 50% reward to users is something you don't see anywhere else, and I personally think it's fantastic on Hive and has helped me a lot as a user to cover many of my daily expenses.

I also completely agree with you that attracting external advertising would be wonderful; it would be a great help, a good option, and I think it would attract investors and make Hive much more profitable for everyone active here.

I'm convinced that we need a strong community and to understand the harm done to many Hive users who aren't valued properly, while we see users being valued with automated votes who don't even interact with their own posts. This should be reviewed; we need to support those who are on Hive and contribute to its growth and consolidation.

Ultimately, that's the way forward: truly rewarding those who contribute real value and constant improvements to the community.

to become stronger as a community and try by all means to attract more users.

This is my humble opinion and what I truly feel in my heart.

Hive is completely a different platform and experience for me. Like you get to engage, you get to stake the coin and in return it is benefitting both the community and the user at the same time, the staked amount is also your's own, with all these communities you get to choose the one which suits the taste, and there is this active plus passive earning etc. And tbh, I do not care much about the price, maybe because I am still a newbie or lacks the proper crypto understanding. I just hope that it stays, no matter what the price is.
On the other hand, I do love reddit as well, but it's because of the engagement and interaction only. One can literally discuss anything there, aand there is answer for literally any question. If one look at Reddit, there is always that one user who claims to have experienced something unbelievable.
Still, nothing comes close to Hive as per my experience.

when i discovered how hive works i really couldn't understand how people still keep wasting their time like on facebook or any other social media to collect just likes that in the end of the day will give back nothing... and i still am amazed people waste time there

I was writing on social media platforms, like Facebook, but I stopped because after pandemic, the platform became so toxic, and my works are now hidden in my notes app.

When I found out and learned that this platform exists, where writing is communication, people are real when it comes to their thoughts, and free of toxicity, my fire for writing ignited again.

I love Hive! Forgive me, but I will gatekeep this platform to those toxic people from Facebook.

It took me a while to understand the true value of Hive, but I can finally say that every day I learn something new about this platform that makes it unique.

Followed and commented the Youtube. I need to start posting there again too. Good luck on your channel!

it's interesting to hear the opinion of big players like you, for me hive it's a big part of my life because it's literally feeding me and my family, when i found out about hive my family was in a very bad situation and it literally changed our lifes, it's imppresive the impact that it can have in people's life so yes, hive have a huge value for all people

I think the core of Hive is about appreciating every members and what their contributions.

if it doesn't fart, it's Ai

How do I know you fart?

I can send you a fart jar or meet you at the next Fartfest Hivefest for Proof of Fart POF

That'll be fun, making almost everybody to read through and know about us.... publicity!

is simple fix, People first, rewards second.

Hive can add another layer of revenue easy with advertisements ( but not wanted now).

Value is eyeballs. So in theory its possible to reduce rewards massive. So the core is not about to earn, is freedom to post what you want.

This can scale.

btw i recommend to you as a big holder and curator check out from time to time a new account. See how much fun it is. This is what matters.

1000x more users should be the goal, for this less power need to be in the hands of few ( not the voting, only the social media part). Imagine Boomers would use the chain, they would upvote family members or the most retarded shit you have ever seen, but they need to be free to do it.

More hands = currency has value. Less hands = currency is bullshit.

yeah... I used to do this quite regularly in the past because I figured people would just follow the motivation. And also because the first experience is all that matters. Then from there, people retain a lot more time on a platform even if they don't commonly find the same initial experience.

So my point is, the initial experience has to be UAU! and that will basically do most of the job on influencing people to try and keep learning about it (which is the hardest part to scale in my view).

I think the hardest part is the content rules ( since all platforms have a learning curve). It should be the same as other social media.

Upvote = like to many users. So if you write " yo bro" i like it so you see i did read it.

Same for memes. Thats IMO a problem.

That's why the first impression is too important. Then afterwards, people will be more prone to give it more tries. Even if not the "comments" get upvoted, people know it needs to capture others' attention for it to happen.

I have totally verified this with Hivefest... first impression is ultimate. And in real life, too.

People don't try Hive not because they don't like Hive... it's because they don't know about it or have any relationship with it. So, they prioritise other experiences...

If the experience is UAU.... then it becomes a movement... trends, and everyone will check at all costs.

I do this through other accounts through ocd and lovesniper, we even created @love-scout recently to check out new accounts.

Unless you meant me creating a new account to see what it's like pretending to be a newbie.

yeah, check it out. Cosplay a bit around, thats imo a good way to explore user experience first hand

I was able to open my HIVE account a month ago. I still don't quite understand the ecosystem. I don't know if I like it or not. It's very different from everything else. Maybe it's just that I'm too old. I navigated Web 1.0

I’ve always believed Hive is a great place, with great potential in many ways. I love discovering the world through the vision of others and making the most of it. I also enjoy sharing my own things and always looking for ways to do something different. Sometimes I can’t achieve everything I want because of problems where I live, real limitations I face… but still, I think I’ve done something valuable during my time here, with a lot of sacrifice too. For me, that adds even more value.
I hope ways are found to improve and that this chain continues for a long time to come. It has a great story behind it, and everything has been built by very valuable users. I’ve heard you — there are people here who put a lot of effort into interacting with quality. Others not so much, or they’re simply not interested. But I believe it all comes down to the freedom each person has to decide what they do, as everywhere else.
