The Belief

The belief in a social system doesn't necessarily imply that the system is built on nonsense. I'd argue for a rational belief to base society/community onto - to see that certain values have to be shared to stabilize the social fabric, but to not go overboard with them in order to preserve individuality

In the end Pocket is right though, our civilization is sick. Our people are sick. Probably you and I are sick...
As our civilization integrates all layers of divergent information into one big system it creates the need for totalitarian control of everything in order to stay coherent. Unwished opinions must be eliminated. People stepping out of line must be eliminated. Parallel societies must be eliminated. As people get more and more accustomed to conformity they themselves create a culture of conformity deminishing the individual ever more and call it order. As the individual holding responsibility dies the actual order breaks down as well and they call it freedom.

So yeah, what to do with that? Is the solution being an outcast? Conform until death? Should one abandon society and burn it down? Should one become a martyr for a better world not yet born? Or try with all faith to transform the system from within? I don't know, I'm just me. But whatever the solution may be, I think it's a step in the right direction to atleast search for a solution.
