This includes and not limited to wattsapp, bbm, snapchat, imo, instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Television, newspapers etc. It is common among our youths and even our children of nowadays, old people too are also involved and not excluded.

Looking into the topic, effects of social media on school children, today out there, we see little children engaging themselves in one or two social media platforms. For example an eleven year old child already having a phone and such a child is even registered on the social media platform,

The faults is also from the parents and also the kinds of friends the children mingle with in school, for example a child bringing phone to school it can make the child to lag behind in his studies.

It makes the child to be disobedient
It makes the child to attach his or herself with bad colleagues.
It makes the child to be disrespectful
It depends on the way and manner the child is brought up.
It also depends on what t the child watches on tv.

A child should be well brought up by his/her parents very well to avoid little mistakes. When the child relies mostly on social media, the closeness to the parents will be reduced, the dedication to his studies will be very low too. Most children are not well brought up due to their enviromental and parental upbringing.

There should be age restriction for children on social media platforms

Parental guidance should be encouraged
Teachers should also checkmate the children at school.
Discipline should be imbibed in children at an early age

IN CONCLUSION

When a child is well brought up, he or she will not be distarcted. The enviroment the child is being brought up is very important, parents should try as much as possible to work on their children, especially in the aspect of discipline. When a child is well disciplined, he or she will have respect for his/her parents. In those days, the children have a particular age that their parents allow them to use mobile phones but these days things have changed a lot, social media platforms are big distraction to our children as they will always say it is what is in voque now.
