I do agree with everything you say. Steemit can be so much more than what it currently is. I believe the biggest step in the right direction would be to make separate communities within steemit like reddit. Where if you have the best photo today you aren't the top posting in a video game board or a snapchat board. I believe it is important to create sub communities to allow people to feel included and not rejected by the majority when all they want to see is this or that. I would love an IT subsection, video game subsection, a theory subsection, a youtube subsection. This can create less "cancer posts" and instead give them a place to belong such as reblogging news, it shouldn't be considered original content, but at the same time it could be upvoted a ton if there was a news section that focused on grabbing sources. Thanks!

Really good call outs.. I have seen a few posts about alternate Steemit Music sites and Steemit Video sites as well so idk if all of them combined would be good.. or if they would do better if they were separate.
I would like to see one website like steemit.com that could encompass tons of groups. Like I could go to video games and clearly see the top video game posts and things like that. I just wish everything wasn't lumped together as steemit, even though there are tags, but it still gives the feel of one community. I believe there is a group for everyone and if you post in the wrong group you should be down voted. Like posting your opinion of women in a music section or posting music links in photography.
