A post with an update from yesterday, especially for those of you not interested in watching a 20 min video of me rambling.

What is Hive Community Orbit on scrobble.life?
Basically a visualization of different hive activities in the community.
The sun represents the community and grows and shrinks based on pending weekly rewards.
The inner planets represents authors in the community, size based on their HP. The outer planets are voters who are not authors.
The author/inner planets have moons based on active posts they have in the community, those moons have more moons surrounding the moons based on replies on those posts.
Here's a screenshot displaying most of the above:

The lines you see represent votes from voter planets, they're timed based on when they're cast within the first 24h and land on the moon roughly around the same time. When the post pays out, the moon, along with its moons, explodes and displays rewards earned of the post as well as comments on it. Then the ships go quickly back to their original voter planets to return curation rewards.
Here's a moon close to paying out as an example.

While there's still some visuals to improve, such as giving planets texture and different colors to separate them from moons better, I like the way it looks so far.
Now if you know me, that's not where I usually stop. So I decided to add a free roam fly mode where you're in your own spaceship flying around the solar system. And since you can see the users active in the community, the moons that represent the posts, etc, why not also see the actual content - while listening/scrobbling music?!
You got it.
When you approach planets, it'll tell you which accounts they represent in a holographic text shooting out of the dark side of the planet/moon.

But why stop at voters, why not also read the posts on here directly?

Wait, why stop at reading, why not include voting up the posts as well and replying on them?

Something feels off, space is quite quiet isn't it, why not, I don't know, have music in your spaceships cockpit? Oh, what if it can also be scrobbled, makes sense right? You got it.
Search from past scrobbles or Audius:

Come check it out, let us know if things are working as they should and if you have any other cool ideas of what you'd like to do on there!

This idea of yours @acidyo really got me thinking, haha! And kept my imagination going. 😀
This is also a great way to apply it to the whole Hive ecosystem.
The planets are the frontends, then around each planet you have the communities and when you zoom into a community, you see the members as stars.
Each star is one person, and you can scan/click into each star to see their profile and content, with their followers as more stars that you can zoom into as well and explore their profiles. The stars can also have moons representing what they do in the community like posts for authors and curations for curators.
Then the shooting stars are the people coming in from outside. We can use those as a way to show engagement and inflow, so the more shooting stars there are, the more engagement and people coming into the community and interacting with it.
So the whole thing isn't just a visualisation, it should feel alive and constantly moving, with planets, communities, stars and shooting stars all showing what's happening across the Hive. And the more you zoom in, the more you'll see, like what you've already got there.
Just an additional idea if any good. Possibly a bit more complicated to do. 😀
I didn't crash, yet... Looks like my ship has mega shields, and I can basically endure going through planets, asteroids and EVEN the Sun! 😎
The part I am mostly surprised about is how this manages to be very fluid with so many objects. Many games would have a hard time with that many objects.
Might get a bit heavier once I add more texture and looks to the planets!
This is pretty crazy to me. Seems to work well enough haha I definitely had fun exploring and finding some content of value. I could see myself using this again just as a fun way to find new content and creators. Nice work on this development. Looking forward to what else you have cooking back there.

Checking, although my PC isn't helping much.
Orbit is superb, it’s brilliant work, but it’s still just a solar system. The full Hive would be an entire galaxy. If you extended it to the whole Hive blockchain, I think we’d witness a true digital Big Bang. Honestly, I’d love to fly through all that data. Hmmmm....I honestly believe this is how web interfaces will look in the near future. This style is exactly how the entire digital environment will evolve.
P.S. — When flying through posts, if I open a card and then move to another one, the new card always jumps straight to the bottom of the content instead of starting at the top. It happens consistently in fly mode.
This is amazing, and each person can be a little twinkling star; this just gives me an idea to promote in r/space. People there will love this!
Doubt it'd do well in there, but maybe some other subs!
Probably will if done indirectly but we'll see in the future. :)
This new update looks spectacular! I'd love to be able to log in and try it, but... 1) I just read in the comments that it's not optimized for mobile, and I'm only a mobile user, and also; 2) Right now the scrobble.life page is not loading properly for me, neither the session, nor the option to write a review or view my profile, nor the chat. I don't know what it is, and I hope it gets fixed soon when you manage to reconnect.
Good work as always.
Stunning! Is this customizable for any community?
It says I have 0 posts, how is that?
I can add more communities sure, but don't wanna spend too many tokens/overload the server, especially if they want a larger history. (also rpc calls)
The 0 post thing is probably that u don't have an active post in the community this week.
admit... i saw the post, didn't watch the video.... but that looks really cool.... can certainly see people wanting to play around in there... thats for sure.
have a good day

The idea of posts becoming moons and votes flying in as ships is such a creative way to visualize what normally feels like invisible blockchain activity. It feels more like a little living universe than a dashboard, hehe. I tried exploring it through Hive Keychain on my phone but it didn't seem to work for me 🥲. Maybe it's not fully optimized for mobile yet. Still really cool concept. 🫶🏻
Claude is scared of you. Hahah. Bro is building every cool intrusive thought on chain.
Is it available on mobile too?
It seems dope!!
I tried it but it's better to use it on a big screen.
It might work but not optimized/aimed at it.

Looks like a great community! ☀️ I love how Solar Orbit brings people together and creates a positive space to share and connect. More power to the community! 💛
La idea es impresionante, pero me pregunto algo: ¿no estamos convirtiendo Hive en un videojuego cada vez más, cuando lo realmente importante debería seguir siendo el contenido y la comunidad?
Congratulations @acidyo! You have completed the following achievement on the Hive blockchain And have been rewarded with New badge(s)
Your next payout target is 655000 HP.
The unit is Hive Power equivalent because post and comment rewards can be split into HP and HBD
You can view your badges on your board and compare yourself to others in the Ranking

STOPI tried but couldn’t explore more around. nothing popped up.
This is one cool idea to have fun in itself.
