Ye pretty blessed I am only renting here so as long as that lasts but my landlord is my partner so I am not sure he will get rid of me anytime soon. We are in Pretoria apparently the law in Cape-Town is rather draconian from what I hear? Cheer$;)

Not sure about the Cape, we are in Durban region, we looked into solar in early 1990's came with large bill attached at the time. Once you linked to national grid, you pay irrespective so never took up the challenge again. Times have changed!
Truth.. Ideally if this was my system 100% off grid... But alas.. he is 70 it suits him and I live in paradise thanks to him who am I to complain :P
