Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky has lived in this house for the last year and a half. Here he wrote the brilliant Sixth Symphony. “I consider it the best and especially the most sincere of all my works,” the composer himself wrote about this work. In October 1893, Tchaikovsky left Klin for St. Petersburg to present his new work to the audience. The composer never returned. Sketches for Tchaikovsky's last symphony have become part of the museum's collection, which numbers more than two hundred thousand items. It is based on the P.I. Tchaikovsky: letters and diaries, musical autographs, composer's library, photo albums
