National Park Bashkiria. Landscape

The territory of the park is crossed by river valleys - rivers run along ridges and form deep and narrow canyons with rocky ledges. They have bizarre shapes and have found their own names: "Devil's finger", "Sphinx", "Castle", "Duck nose".
Uryuk, Kuzha, Nugush and Belaya are full-flowing rivers of the park, their waters are fed from snow, rain and underground reserves. The Shulgan, Sumgan, Kutuk and Yuriash streams disappear underground and make their way under the limestones, forming karst cavities.

Fauna

The national park is inhabited by elk, roe deer, brown bear, badger, wolf, lynx, fox. Several species of large rodents live here: squirrel, chipmunk, ground squirrel, muskrat. And the pond bat, the garden dormouse, the river otter and the European mink are the inhabitants of the park listed in the Red Book.
There are about 32 species of fish in the reservoirs. European grayling, taimen, bream are found in clear mountain streams, and in large rivers, pike perch, ide, carp, roach, pike, perch and catfish are found. Five species of fish are listed in the Red Book - taimen, brook trout, European grayling, Russian fastfish and common European sculpin.

Flora

The vegetation of the national park consists of deciduous forests, but in some places there are small clusters of pine trees. In the central part of the park, centuries-old forests have been preserved.
The forests of the national park are still insufficiently explored. According to preliminary estimates, the territory of the reserve includes more than 600 plant species. Only a few of them are included in the Red Book - Russian hazel grouse, low iris, red pollen head, lady's slipper, straight walker, thin-legged stiff-leaved.
