This Ukraine and Russia situation has been brutal. All I have been doing is fighting back the same way we did with Arab Spring before as well as relaying information from the ground back to the internet. Have to keep the people on the ground in constant communication or able to at the very least reach the outside world by teaching them about mesh network software for internal local communications and online tools like TOR or WHONIX. The most important thing is making sure that the people on the ground can tell the world what is happening.
