A song by the wonderful Florence and the Machine!
I went to one of her concerts after the album Ceremonials was released and I absolutely adore it. I have fond memories of seeing her performing live on stage. This woman is such an inspiration to me.
Now for my video; as you may have noticed I recorded it with the karaoke app Smule.
This allows me to create a videoclip and gives me access to a wide variety of songs as well as mic effects. These are five full takes, which means I sat down and sang (parts of) the whole song five times to get the choir effect and of course the harmony. I could only redo these in their entirety so if I screwed up anywhere I had to start all over again. 😉

I dyed my hair pink and purple and after a few weeks it turns this bright lavender/lilac. I'm very happy with it. 💛😘 I'm also very happy to be back here.
Oh my, I wouldn't dare to dye my hair, I've not even been to a hairdresser since I was 8 years old and my grandma sold my hair for a wig like in Little Women. I only tried to actually darken my hair from blonde to prerraphaelite red when I was a teenager and oh my it was a temporary one but still got blisters and have not messed since, I'm actually growing blonde to white grey all mixed at the moment. But I always long for the unicorn mermaid colours :) I use chalk and pastels sometimes as my hair is light, it lasts until next washbut it's not as pretty as that result

These days though they have awesome stuff to protect your hair when they bleach it. I’ve not had any problems with blisters or hairloss. Maybe you should try fooddye. It will stay in your hair longer and its perfectly fine to use.😃

Is Smule something designed for absolute beginners to the recording world? I have sometimes wanted to dabble, but finding free-to-use software isn't easy. I'm not going to be shelling out until I know that I can do this - and have fun with it.

If you download the Smule app on your phone (it works with Android as well as IPhone) you’re all set to go. I do have to say the very best sound quality result (aside from a professional mic) is with the Apple EarPods.
You will get to start with a small selection of songs but there are plenty of people who open songs and keep silent so that anyone else who does not have a paid account can have a go at that song. I’d also be happy to connect with you on there and open up songs for you if you decide this is something for you.👍🏻
