I DO “NERD” OUT FROM TIME TO TIME… Actually, my nerd side shines very often. I find it absolutely fascinating to read and study topics that completely stretch my intelligence, and the topic of Inflationary Cosmology is currently doing that very thing. I do believe in the “Intelligent Design” Theory; because the details of living things can be characterized to a Shakespearean Sonnet; both complex and specific. Especially within the pattern of molecular sequences in functional biological molecules such as DNA, that can be seen as a long sentence of random letters that make us who we are… Inflationary Cosmology takes if even further into the theory of the Multiverse. Since our Scientist have detected “Gravitational Waves” from the evidence of the “Big Bang” that expanded the Universe 13.82 billion years ago, point to the potential of the theory behind the Multiverse. All computer models from Andrei Linde (Stanford Physicist) and the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics point to this theory because of the rapid inflation due to the “Big Bang”. So the notion that there could be an infinite amount of individual Universes upon another infinite amount of Universes or an infinite amount of possibilities within our known Universe, and yet we here on earth have life. For me this continues to point to a single “Creator”, God. That we could be the possible solution to an infinite amount of possibilities is honoring and sobering’ however, the notion we couldn’t be the solution; that we are a possibility but NOT the solution should bring us closer to our “Creator” because he is our answer. 1 John 2:16: For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.
