A small section of the Veil Nebula captured by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope. This picture shows the gassy remains of an 8,000 year old supernova.

The Cat's Eye Nebula The bubble-like formations are the product of a dying star ejecting its mass in a series of 1500-year intervals.

WR124.png
A cosmic pairing of the star Hen 2-427 with the nebula M1-67 surrounding it. The cloud surrounding the super-hot star Hen 2-427 is the result of extremely hot gas exploding into space at 93,210 miles per hour (150,000 km).

WispyRemainsSupernova-smaller.png
The wispy remains of a massive supernova explosion. The dust cloud in the upper center of the picture is the actual supernova remnant. The dense concentration of stars in the lower left is the outskirts of star cluster NGC 1850.
