The Ministry of Health in the United Arab Emirates announced its plan to establish the first space hospital in the world.
The space hospital project will become part of the UAE's national space program, helping to treat astronauts using the latest nanotechnology.
The astronauts will be treated remotely with the help of nanotechnology, which will be connected to the ground for remote control, said Dr. Kalthoum al-Balushi, a ministry spokeswoman.
The space hospital is due to be tested before it is launched into space in parallel with the start of the UAE mission to explore Mars's surface in 2020.
