in #spacex6 years ago (edited)

Witnessed history being made today. I talked to as many people about DTUBE and the Steem blockchain as I could while I was there! This was an amazing launch to see, you could feel the sonic boom hit your chest while it was taking off..an unreal sight. This is only the beginning and the world around us is going to change fast.. BFR Earth to Earth is next.

Is there any footage from the same location of the boosters landing? That was incredible.

No unfortunately I wish though. I was at the closest possible location. We saw them coming down but couldn't see the landing pad from there.

Go to 8:40 there

- here you can watch it @stevebennett

What a sound! One of these days I need to go assist at a launch.
The sound is extreme. A lot of power,
Keep on steemin'

Dtube a good competitor to youtube

Poor centre core.... didn't make it. At least we got the gryffons back! apparently the most expensive equipment in the whole flight.

Dear @n33d4sp33d

SpaceX's Falcon Heavy rocket made its maiden flight Wow, the picture was so great. At 3:45 pm EST, the world's most powerful operational booster lifted off from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Florida on a demonstration mission intended to gather information about the reusable launch system before it goes into service.

Today's launch came after a two-hour and 15 minute delay due to high-altitude shear winds that were outside the rocket's safety parameters. During liftoff, the 27 Merlin 1D engines of the Falcon Heavy's three Falcon 9 core boosters generated 5,548,500 lb of thrust as they gulped down supercooled liquid oxygen and kerosene. Two minutes and 29 seconds into the flight, the two outboard boosters shut down and then separated from the central core four seconds later. The latter shutdown at the three minute and four second mark, then the second stage separated three seconds after.

I read many articles on Falcon today, and it is overwhelming,, to see the development on space technologies.

It is entertaining for me to see how many, eh... , smart people are mistaking this beautiful movie for an actual occurrence.

Awesome video, I saw this from my house in Orlando. It is crazy how far away we can view stuff in the sky.
