I'm gonna be pedantic and say #steem not #steemit and in specifics, @SteemPeak

Yeah, not trying to be that guy, but I am tired of people keeping telling everyone on the internet about Steemit.

Steemit is terrible as a UI. Yet, we spend an enormous amount of time promoting the Steem Blockchain through it. Why? I have no idea. Other front ends like @steempeak are magnitudes better in functionality.

Why do we spend so much time telling everyone how great Steemit is when many of us seldom use it? When the masses come over to Steemit, not only will they be confused, they are going to think we are morons. All they will see is how little STINC's "flagship dapp" offers. And once again, we live up to the crypto stereotype of being "scammy" and shady as hell.

I get it, they wouldn't know anything about the other features by going through Steemit. Sure, the ecosystem is complex, but there have to be better ways to introduce them to this diverse world. Maybe we need to give them small bites at a time? The Tribes can act as boarding ramp for new participants in this place.

We got @null.promoted happening because someone is stuck on fixing Steemit. Or, it's a scheme to create more inflation for himself, hard to say. Why can't we ditch Old Steem? It seems as if everything the big names on the platform are trying to do is focusing on making Steemit look good.

STOP.

Why can't we market Steem as a network that encompasses many types of social media? A place where many interests can take place?

‪Maybe they wanted Steemit to suck so that people would be encouraged to make something better. You know, it’s like shooting yourself in the foot so that you need to get new shoes. ‬

Talk about being highly inefficient.
