RE: Construir sin enamorarnos de la idea

in #spanish7 days ago

Now with the arrival of AI we must be more preventive about this, and bet more on iterating and quickly dropping what doesn’t work, not on believing that the idea will work just because we have more tools available.

agree with this and some of my issues i have lately where everyone's a dev now just recreating the same tools/platforms that already exist while they offer nothing or very little uniqueness to them just because they can create them. On top of it trying to lure people to use theirs over others with their stake which splits the community even more it feels like.

I was on the verge about an idea recently because it needed a new community created and required people to post from another front-end into that community as I didn't wanna take away users from peakd/ecency, etc, but I felt like the project itself is unique and offers enough unique things that creating this additional source would be okay, I may be wrong and am open to feedback, but yeah.

Don't even get me started on the security of things, we saw hive-engine get hacked recently and I'm starting to worry how many of these new tools/websites/services are actually safe to use, even for posting keys alone, I'm even checking security on my own projects on a daily basis now to make sure there's no leaks.

It's great to have you here, I'm very excited...

Regarding the replication of ideas, we're going to have a lot of problems with that, especially when we think about targeting a single market. For example, at Hive, we aim for DHF (Data-Hardware) to be our source of value, not actual usage. So we can coin the term "Product-fit-DHF," and AI (Analog Artificial Intelligence) gives us the advantage of taking existing things and improving them. But we wonder, are we replicating an idea that captures value from DAO (Data-Oriented Apps) but not externally? Is it capable of capturing external value and attracting more users than the existing one?

I support free competition, but it should be focused on capturing more external participation.

Regarding your idea of creating another interface, what you should evaluate is whether it solves a problem for the creators. It's not about taking market share away from other dApps that don't have an adoption mechanism. Right now, if a social app like Liketu launches an external adoption campaign, it can attract many users, and Peakd and Escency would remain the same.

Digital marketing investment is practically zero on Hive, so any good idea with a real adoption mechanism can surpass existing ones in just a few months or even days.

Of course, you have to set aside emotions and look for modern methodologies to evaluate ideas.

Security is the most important factor and a major concern, so we must spend a lot of time preventing obvious attacks, and even more so as your app grows.

Whenever you want to discuss ideas, I'm always just a DM away.
