¡Saludos a la comunidad de Steemit! Es para mí un placer compartir con ustedes este post sobre un lugar espectacular de mi querida Venezuela llamado Laguna de García.
La Laguna de García es una aldea localizada en el estado Táchira, Municipio Uribante de la Parroquia Juan Pablo Peñaloza, en la región fisiográfica de los Andes al occidente de Venezuela. Su nombre se debe al apellido del español Antonio Bernabé García, quien compro estas tierras en la época de la colonia. Este lugar presenta una variedad de paisajes variopintos, mostrando una vegetación de herbáceas, arbustos, helechos y bromelias. Su temperatura media anual oscila entre los 15.3 °C, un clima totalmente agradable y de abundante neblina durante todo el año.
Su principal actividad económica es la agricultura, principalmente siembra de cultivos de piso alto, es decir, hortalizas y frutas tales como la papa, zanahoria, apio, cebolla, remolacha, lechuga, mora, fresa, lulo, curuba, cambur, entre otros. Estos rubros se adaptan a las condiciones climáticas y geomorfológicas del sitio. También hay turismo, mayormente en épocas de Semana Santa y Navidad. Su gente se caracteriza por ser amable, cordial y de buen corazón.
La laguna por la que se nombra a la Aldea es de origen glacial. Según la historia que cuentan algunos de los habitantes, se originó porque el cacique de los Uribantes, sembró un “Chícharo o Totumo”, lo cubrió con tierra y espero siete lunas, una vez que este creció lo suficiente sus aguas se desbordaron y fecundaron las tierras circundantes. Aquí habitó esta tribu indígena por muchos años en armonía. Con la llegada de los colonizadores, los indios uribantinos se fueron a otras tierras, pero antes de retirarse encantaron el lugar.
La aldea posee una plaza Bolívar, como la mayoría de los poblados venezolanos y una capilla que lleva por nombre Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, este templo es de gran importancia para la comunidad debido a que toman muy en cuenta la espiritualidad, de hecho, en vísperas de navidad realizan las misas de aguinaldo a las 5 am e incluso lo visitan personas de otras aldeas cercanas. A sus alrededores acostumbran a vender platos típicos de la zona, por ejemplo, pastelitos de carne con arroz, queso o de coco con azúcar y canela, además de calentao, bebida que se prepara a base de miche claro.
¡Es un buen lugar para relajarse y pasar unos días rodeado de excelentes paisajes, además de aprender costumbres y tradiciones diferentes! Si has tenido la oportunidad de visitar este maravilloso lugar, dime ¿Qué te pareció?
