La ruta comenzó con un breve viaje en tren hasta la estación de Benicassim. Un sitio magnífico que no había visitado antes.
The route started with a short train ride to Benicassim station. A magnificent place that I had not visited before.
Apenas sales de la estación lo primero con lo que te topas es con un lugar tranquilo, sin el frenesí agobiante de las ciudades. Un sitio ideal para caminar con calma y disfrutar de la belleza de panorama que tiene.
As soon as you leave the station the first thing you come across is a quiet place, without the overwhelming frenzy of the cities. An ideal place to walk calmly and enjoy the beauty of the panorama.
El objetivo de este día era hacer una una ruta conocida como "La ruta verde" que conecta a Benicassim con Oropeza, pueblos costeros de la provincia de Castellón, una de las tres que componen la comunidad valenciana.
The goal of this day was to make a route known as "The green route" that connects Benicassim with Oropeza, coastal towns in the province of Castellón, one of the three that make up the Valencian community.
Comenzamos por alquilar unas bicicletas que se adaptaran bien al terreno y que fuesen cómodas para la ruta, aunque debo decir que el asiento no fue el más ideal🤣 dejó buenas dolencias los días siguientes.
We started by renting bikes that adapted well to the terrain and were comfortable for the route, although I must say that the seat was not the most ideal🤣 left good aches and pains the following days.
La primera parada fue en el paseo marítimo, un lugar lleno que quintas o "Villas" enormes y preciosas, distribuidas a lo largo del paseo. Con una playa súper limpia, bonita y que da gusto de mirar.
The first stop was at the promenade, a place full that quintas or "Villas" huge and beautiful, distributed along the promenade. With a super clean beach, beautiful and a pleasure to look at.
Seguimos a lo largo del paseo para encontrarnos con el inicio formal de la ruta verde y no quedaba más que ponerse a pedalear y disfrutar de los próximos 6km de ruta que separan Oropeza de Benicassim.
We continued along the promenade to find the formal start of the green route and there was nothing left to do but start pedaling and enjoy the next 6km of route that separates Oropeza from Benicassim.
Esta ruta tiene unos puntos claves hermosísimos, entre puentes, túneles, antiguas torres de vigilancia y caminos entre pequeñas montañas partidas en dos. Y es que está solía ser una zona por la cual pasaban trenes, y que dicha poder disfrutar ahora de un lugar así. No hay momento de la ruta (excepto dentro de los túneles 🤣) donde no puedas disfrutar del sonido, olor y vista al mar.
This route has some beautiful key points, between bridges, tunnels, old watchtowers and roads between small mountains split in two. This used to be an area through which trains used to pass, and what a joy to be able to enjoy such a place now. There is no moment of the route (except inside the tunnels 🤣) where you can not enjoy the sound, smell and view of the sea.
Una ruta breve, preciosa y que sin duda alguna repetiría con muchísimo gusto.
A short, beautiful route that I would definitely repeat with great pleasure.
