Los investigadores aseguran que dicho hongo tiene la reputación de ser un “potente afrodisíaco femenino”.Para confirmar el estudio, los científicos sometieron a varias mujeres al aroma del hongo de la familia fungus Dictyophora, -similar al de la carne podrida- comprobando que la mitad de ellas experimentó el orgasmo espontáneo.De acuerdo con el diario The Independent, la conclusión de los autores de este experimento es que las esporas del hongo son similares a los neurotransmisores que se activan en el cerebro humano durante los encuentros sexuales. Asimismo, este fenómeno ocurre únicamente en mujeres, porque los hombres que tuvieron contacto con esa especie de organismo no sintieron nada.
