Lo mejor para el final, mi último día en Chuao fue este Domingo 30 de Enero, y puedo decir que fue lo MEJOR del viaje. La enorme cascada que ven atrás, se llama el Chorrerón, y es una de los lugares turísticos más visitados de Chuao. Mide aproximadamente 16 metros de altura, y no se dejen engañar de que por ser selva, hacia calor; jamás había sentido tanto frío en mi vida.
The best for last, my last day in Chuao was this Sunday, January 30, and I can say that it was the BEST of the trip. The huge waterfall you see behind is called the Chorrerón, and it is one of the most visited tourist places in Chuao. It measures approximately 16 meters high, and do not be fooled that because it is a jungle, it was hot; I had never felt so cold in my life.
Fue un camino bastante largo para poder ver esta belleza solo unos minutos (no pudimos estar por horas, ya que el frío era insoportable). Fueron 2 horas para llegar allí, saliendo desde el casco central del pueblo. Jamás había hecho un senderismo tan largo, pero les confieso que llegar hasta allí y soportar los 19 pasos del río ¡WOW! se sintió genial.
It was quite a long way to be able to see this beauty for just a few minutes (we couldn't stay for hours, since the cold was unbearable). It took 2 hours to get there, leaving from the center of town. I had never done such a long hike, but I confess that getting there and enduring the 19 steps of the river, WOW! it felt great.
¡Sí! leyeron bien, cruzamos 19 veces el río para llegar allí, y 21 veces de regreso ya que nos fuimos por otro camino, se pueden imaginar como quedaron mis zapatos, jajaja completamente arruinados, pero no importa, yo estaba feliz de poder haber vivido esta experiencia y salir casi completamente ilesa de ella. Ustedes se preguntarán ¿por qué digo "casi" ilesa? pues verán, y es aquí que les contaré un dato curioso de mí, soy bastante pero BASTANTE torpe, sino me creen, que les cuente @marijo-rm, quien ha vivido gran partes de mis caídas más épicas desde que nos conocemos.
Yes! You read that right, we crossed the river 19 times to get there, and 21 times back since we went another way, you can imagine how my shoes turned out, hahaha completely ruined, but it doesn't matter, I was happy to have lived this experience and come out of it almost completely unscathed. You may wonder why I say "almost" unharmed? Well, you'll see, and this is where I'm going to tell you a curious fact about myself, I'm pretty but QUITE clumsy, if you don't believe me, let @marijo-rm tell you, who has experienced many of my most epic falls since we met.
Pues sí, les comento que me caí un par de veces, pero no se preocupen, estoy bien, solo fueron unos pequeños raspones. La verdad es que espero volver muy pronto a Chuao y conocer nuevos paisajes de este mágico lugar; y por supuesto visitar a mi mejor amiga, que me propuse hacerlo más seguido por este año. Ya que duramos mucho tiempo sin vernos.
Well yes, I'll tell you that I fell a couple of times, but don't worry, I'm fine, they were just a few small scratches. The truth is that I hope to return to Chuao very soon and discover new landscapes of this magical place; and of course visit my best friend, which I decided to do more often this year. Since we last a long time without seeing each other.
No puedo terminar este post sin mostrarles el creador de esta visita, y quien nos permitió conocer este maravilloso lugar, nuestro guía estrella, el señor Ángel; quien no solo fue mi motivador para seguir durante todo el camino, sino que me ayudó a levantarme cada vez que caía, y nos decía donde pisar y por donde no pasar para evitar una próxima. Además de que fue nuestro protector durante todo el viaje, estando atento por si nos topábamos con alguna Mapanare o Cunaguaro.
I cannot finish this post without showing you the creator of this visit, and who allowed us to get to know this wonderful place, our star guide, Mr. Ángel; who was not only my motivator to continue all the way, but also helped me get up every time I fell, and told us where to step and where not to go to avoid the next one.
