No recuerdo si te vi o te sentí,
¿Cómo te sentí?, ¡oh sí!, te oí,
frunciendo una ceja pare la oreja,
de la vista no siempre nace el amor,
tu por tu voz entraste en mi oreja,
por la oreja cupido tejió su madeja
¡tu dulce voz!, caricia de terciopelo;
así fue como el amor hizo una reja,
los dos, tu voz, y mi atenta oreja.
