Estas montañas son las formaciones expuestas más antiguas en el planeta; su origen data del Precámbrico. Es el salto de agua más elevado del mundo con una altura de 979 m (807 m de caída ininterrumpida) y su nombre verdadero es Kerepakupai Vená, que significa «salto del lugar más profundo» como verán ya tenía nombre asignado cuando lo sobrevoló el mencionado piloto aventurero norteamericano de nombre Jimmie Angel. que por supuesto no lo descubrió por que ya los nativos lo conocían y no lo bautizó por que ya tenía nombre puesto por los aborígenes de la zona!!!!!!!!
