Jugablemente hablando, Rebel Cops es una propuesta de estrategia por turnos en donde el jugador, valiéndose de una perspectiva isométrica, deberá eliminar a una serie de objetivos seleccionados; ya sea en una ataque frontal, en donde las bajas serán inevitables, o en una ataque silencioso para evitar alertar al resto de enemigos. — Para cada estilo de juego, existen diferentes objetos y habilidades que potencian la estrategia del protagonista (Granadas aturdidoras que nublan la visión, pistolas electricistas que inmovilizan temporalmente, silenciadores que anulan cualquier clase de sonidos alarmantes, etc).
Lo que más destaca en Rebel Cops son sus mapas; escenarios grandes y bien detallados en donde el jugador deberá explorar cada escondrijo con la intención de descubrir nuevos objetos con los que poder subvencionar las misiones venideras (dinero, armamento o recursos médicos).
En conclusión, Rebel Cops es un titulo breve en contenido que, pese a centrarse exclusivamente en el la acción y el combate, puede llegar a ofrecer mecánicas que se alejan de los típicos elementos del genero de gestión táctica. — Es visiblemente atractivo (ordinario, pero sin llegar a ser genérico)...
Playable speaking, Rebel Cops is a turn-based strategy proposal in which the player, using an isometric perspective, must eliminate a series of selected targets; either in a frontal attack, where casualties will be inevitable, or in a silent attack so as not to alert the rest of the enemies. — For each style of play there are different objects and abilities that enhance the protagonist's strategy (stun grenades that cloud vision, electrician's guns that temporarily immobilize, silencers that cancel any type of alarming sounds, etc.).
What stands out the most in Rebel Cops are its maps; Wide and detailed scenarios where the player must explore each hiding place with the intention of discovering new objects with which to subsidize the next missions (money, weapons or medical resources).
