Life on Earth is a journey ,where every born individual will one day come to the end of the journey. What comes after the journey is evaluation ; We will be evaluated on how well we spent our time.
The season of Lent is here again , a time when we partake in the forty (40) days journey made by our Lord Jesus Christ in the wilderness prior to his work on Earth .
Christians are always eager to give in their best at the start of this journey ,but only few are steadfast till the end of the journey on Easter Sunday. The devil is always prepared to tempt Christians just as he did to our Lord Jesus Christ in the wilderness. What makes one triumph is the ability to remain steadfast , focussed and determined to reach the end of the journey.
Mortification is an Energizer that can help one reach this journey successfully. Unfortunately , the spirit may be willing but the flesh is weak ,and the desires of these two things contradicts each other . This becomes a challenge when we desire to mortify the flesh.
Lent is a journey of the strong Hearted , a journey for those who want to atone for their sins , a journey filled with thorns and hills , a journey that seems to be long , but there is always joy and blessings in the end for those who persevered.
