Do we really have to ask God for forgiveness everyday?

No. We don't need to ask God for his forgiveness each and everyday.

God's grace has come to us and from those we understand that he is never angry with us. God's grace is His son that He sent to dies for the sins of mankind. GOD can never be angry with us again. This is because He burnt all of His wrath on the body of Jesus.

See what the Bible says in Isaiah 54 verse 9

Isaiah 54:9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

This means that God will no longer be angry with us. Remember that Isaiah was a prophet. So, he was actually seeing into the future. He saw a people whom God would never be angry with. We are that people, the product of the 'seed' of Abraham. This seed is Jesus and when he died and was resurrected, he brought many sons to light.

All we need to do is to look and believe. Jesus said something remarkable. He said that as the serpent was lifted up in the wilderness, so will the son of man be lifted up. (John 3 verse 14).

The Old testament are types and shadow of what God wanted to do through Christ. They contain the symbols. In the old test, Christ is concealed while in the new testament, He is revealed.

So, the children of Israel sinned against God by refusing the bread which he gave them (which was actually a symbol of Jesus as He is the true bread that came from heaven). God caused a serpent to bite them. When the suffering was too much, God instructed Moses to make the serpent and hang it on a stake. Anyone that looked was healed. He didn't say when they had begged enough or confessed their sins enough. They were just had to look.

In the same vein, Christ has been hung on the cross for our eternal life of sin. All we just need to do is to keep abreast of His sacrifice. When we acknowledge that his death, burial and resurrection has freed us, there will be no need to always confess sins. That's because He doesn't keep record of our sins. The failure files don't exist no more.

Glory to God.
