Our technology continues to evolve at a rapid pace, it's important though oft forgot that we keep you up-to-date with the latest advancements for DLUX and our adjacent developments for the Hive Ecosystem.
SPK Network
Meetings
First things first! The SPK Network has taken the lions share of my time. We're now holding public (recorded) meetings on Thursdays @ noon Pacific in the 3Speak-Discord and I hope you all can attend and ask questions or give us feedback. Keep that in mind as we continue with our update here.
Test Network
We anticipate a few months to test our features. We also want to know what other features are needed to make SPK Network work for you. This includes building install scripts and getting everything as automated as possible so anyone who leaves their computer on can take advantage of the storage incentives. May 4th is the goal for making the code public, while we expect the test network to last several months. @theycallmedan and @starkerz are looking for the best ways to make the test period as valuable as possible which will include some testing incentives. Feel free to share you ideas below.
DLUX Integration
It's been months since our last IPFS provider went offline, but signs of life are finally coming to the surface. We (w/ @markegiles) have hot-n-ready but untested features at Test - DLUX.io that are shaping up to fully take advantage of the SPK Network's decentralized file storage with incentives. We have an insane amount of work left to do in writing documentation for these new technologies... but we are hoping that it's use isn't too complicated. Features like contract extension and upgrades are still lacking... but your feedback is more than welcome.
360 Gallery Builder
At our test site there is now a 360 Gallery Builder... which produced markegile's Coastal Bike Tour of Buenos Aires. If you try building your own and run into issues leave a comment here or try to talk directly to us on DLUX's Discord. These posts (when included in the dlux ecosystem) should be subject to DLUX proof of Brain rewards... so feel free to try to upload your art and 360 photos here.
Soon we'll have other ways to place a wider variety of content into our network.
Personal Challenge
I failed my last challenge of making a post every day in November... But with all our updates I'm hoping May will be my first blog-everyday-month with at least 31 5 minute-or-more reads explaining the intricacies of SPK and it's broader applications to Hive as well as the features it enables on DLUX... Stay Tuned.
