My journey on Splinterlands

in #splinterland4 years ago

I started the game in March, play it occasionally since then, just to discover the game and having fun.
I bought the spellbook and put between 50 and 100$ in the game (because I am ok to lose it ^^)

**My results so far : **

80 cards owned :
3 legendaires and 9 epics

Now I will try for a while to progress in this game and to have an efficient approach

How to do it ?

***My understanding of the game ***

The goal of the game is to build an army (of monsters and summoners). And then on each battlefield send the best soldiers for the job.

I find 3 aspects to the game :

  1. Tactics (how to win the battles)

  2. Recruitment (which are the best monsters)

  3. Resource management (best use of DEC and credit, buying vs renting cards, prioritizing expenses...)

**1) Tactics **

a) General principles : ➡️team work vs big monsters
When I start playing I used to spend my mana to pick big monsters ... now I tend to think that "small monsters" playing in team (synergy) is often better

➡️Target the opponent team vs building a balanced team
hypothesis : if we know wich team vilain will bring to the battefield, the better strategy would be to target strongly this team. But this way your team will have clear weakness vs many other teams. This being said, as we not really know wich team vilain will select (at least with my level of experience I can't anticipate) its seems a better idea to focus on our own team and build a well rounded one (front and back quite solide / attack on different fronts by using snipe, sneak ,,,)

b) Different rulesets : I gained some experience but I have to improve !
I have to find blog post, videos,... and learn !

2) Recruiting :

Which monsters are the most usefull ?

I worked a little on the stats with this article

Usage / winrate of monsters

3) Resource management:

It's more a question of economy and arbitrage (prioritize expenses)

As I don't want to put more money now I have limited ressources so I think using the new rental system could be interesting !

Let's go !
