Intro: I have been a member of the splinterlands community since October 2018 and have always considered to create some content, sharing some of my knowledge/opinion about the game and after a long time of procrastination, I finally decide to start and see where this goes :)

I will share my thoughts opinion on some of the cards I currently use a lot and see them as game changers in many situations. My opinion probably will be biased based on my experience with those cards and if you tend to disagree on something, feel free to share your opinion in the comments below.

The last card on the WATER deck, that I want to mention is ,,,

The Kelp Initiate

While water deck provides great cards and versatile gameplay, most of the "streamline strong cards" have been discussed in a lot of posts and youtube videos. My idea was to shed light on cards that are not mentioned that much, either due to their edition, support role or just because they are often flying under the radar. That's why my last choice on cards to "disect" in water deck is The Kelp Initiate.

At 2 mana cost, this card is one of the game changers for water deck when it comes to low cap battles and epecially noxious fumes ruleset. Up until recently, it was the only card in water deck that was able to cleanse any negative effects, shy of maxed out Mermaid Healer and while in chaos legion there was one more card added with that ability (The River Nymph), the Kelp Initiate has more speed, less mana and higher heath, which gives more ability to survive long enough to land a cleanse, which due to the cards high speed often goes out early in the round. Sometimes that alone is more that enough to be the difference between a win and a loss.

On top of that at low mana cap battles, the Kelp Initiate can be a very potent "tank" due to it's high speed and relatively high health. And even at level 1 the card already comes with 5 speed and 5 health, but to reach the cleanse ability, level 3 needs to be achieved. A copy of the card costs currently around 2$ per bcx and even with the end of season prices a lvl3 can be rented for less than 20 dec, so I believe this card is quite affordable and well underrated.

Outro: I hope you found something informative or useful in this article and I appreciate any effort in my future endeavors, so an upvote or comment/opinion are appreciated as I will be trying to get a feel what the community finds useful and what not so much. Thank you for your time reading and I hope the splinterlands Gods bless you with plenty of dec, sps and golf-foil legendaries!
